Biography
Matteo obtained his Laurea in Chimica from the University of Bologna (Italy) in 2005 and his PhD from the University of Bristol (UK) in 2010. He worked as a postdoc in Stellenbosch University (South Africa) and in New York University - Abu Dhabi (UAE) before moving to Limerick in 2014.
His research interests include molecular crystallography, solid-state reactions, and solid solutions.
At the end of 2017 Matteo had published 45 peer reviewed papers 1 editorial commentary, 1 conference paper 1 book chapter and 1 patent.
He was awarded with a Claude Leon Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship in 2009 and he is currently funded through a Starting Investigator Research Grant from Science Foundation Ireland.
