Biography
Dr. James Mooney joined the Intelligent Power Management & Control Group at the Circuits & Systems Research Centre in October 2006 after completing a B.Eng degree in Electronic Engineering at UL. He successfully completed his Ph.D. in June 2011 in the area of digital control of dc-dc converters and was employed a post-doctoral researcher position at the centre thereafter. His Ph.D. research focused on optimal implementation of digital controller hardware for multi-rail switch mode power converter systems. In February 2014, Dr. Mooney took up a lecturing position at Athlone Institute of Technology and continues his research activity with the centre.
