Biography
<< Léachtóir le Gaeilge i Scoil na Gaeilge, an Bhéarla agus na Cumarsáide in Ollscoil Luimnigh ón mbliain 2016 i leith, agus é ina Cheann Ábhair ón mbliain 2019 go dtí 2022. Bhain céimeanna amach sa Choláiste Ollscoile, Baile Átha Cliath (BA 2004, PhD 2008). Chaith tréimhse ina chomhalta taighde i Scoil an Léinn Cheiltigh, Institiúid Ard-Léinn Bhaile Átha Cliath (2012-16) agus thug seal roimhe sin in Ollscoil Uppsala na Sualainne (2009-12) ina léachtóir agus ina cheann ar Rannóg na dTeangacha Ceilteacha. Tá taighde agus teagasc ar bun aige i réimsí éagsúla de Léann na Gaeilge agus den Léann Ceilteach, go mórmhór i dteanga agus i litríocht na Nua-Ghaeilge Moiche. I measc a chuid foilseachán, tá Léann na Sionainne (2022), Lorg na Leabhar: A Festschrift for Pádraig A. Breatnach (2019), agus Dá dTrian Feasa Fiafraighidh: Essays on the Irish Grammatical and Metrical Tradition (2017). Tá sé ina chomheagarthóir ar an irisleabhar Zeitschrift für celtische Philologie.Dr Gordon Ó Riain is currently a lecturer in Irish at the School of English, Irish, and Communication at the University of Limerick where he was Head of Subject from 2019 to 2022. A graduate of University College Dublin (BA 2004, PhD 2008), he has previously worked at the School of Celtic Studies, Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies and at Uppsala University. He researches and teaches in various areas of Irish Language and Literature and Celtic Studies, with a focus on the language and literature of Early Modern Irish (1200-1650). His publications include Léann na Sionainne (2022), Dá dTrian Feasa Fiafraighidh: Essays on the Irish Grammatical and Metrical Tradition (2017) and Lorg na Leabhar: A Festschrift for Pádraig A. Breatnach (2019). He is co-editor of the Zeitschrift für celtische Philologie.>>
