Biography

Lecturer and Head of Section, Irish Language and Literature (Léann na Gaeilge), School of English, Irish, and Communication. Graduate of University College Dublin (BA 2004, PhD 2008). Lectured and published extensively in various areas of Irish language and literature and Celtic Studies, with a specialisation in Early Modern Irish. Previously, lecturer and head of the Celtic Section at Uppsala University (2009-12) and research fellow at Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies (2012-16).>>

Language and literature of Early Modern Irish; bardic poetry and the grammatical tracts; the historical development of Irish to the present day; the history of Irish literature; palaeography; textual criticism>>
