Biography

I have experience teaching across a number of areas in French studies to learners from a variety of backgrounds. Before joining the School of Modern Languages and Applied Linguistics in September 2014, I worked at the University of York (UK) as Teaching Fellow, the Lao National University (Lao PDR) and the University of Limerick (Ireland) where I designed, delivered and assessed new courses in French and Francophone literature, culture, linguistics, French for specific-purposes (Applied Languages, Business, Law, Politics, Engineering, Medicine, and Equine Science) and also trained teachers of French working in primary and secondary schools.

My research interests include: French studies, Virtual Exchange, Computer-Assisted Language Learning (CALL), Global Citizenship, Intercultural Communicative Competence, Applied Linguistics and Translation.
