Biography
Dr. Ciarán Ó Gallchóir is a Lecturer in Educational Leadership in the School of Education. He is the course director for the Masters of Education in School Leadership (MESL). The MESL programme has an innovative blended learning pedagogical design. The aim of the programme is for students to engage critically and analytically in a research dissertation exploring an area of school leadership. To date, he has published on aspects of School Placement, reflective practice, assessment in higher education and identity development. Currently, he is working on a project that focuses on the integration of a flipped classroom design to online support tutorials in order to complement pre-service teachers' experiences of School Placement. He is the School of Education Liaison for the HEA PATH Initiative (http://hea.ie/tag/path/) and is a member of the Erasmus+ SUP4PCL project (https://erasmus.sup4pcl.org/).
