Health Research Institute Research Day

As part of UL Research Week 2019, the Health Research Institute (HRI) will host a Research Day in the Foundation Building on Tuesday 03rd December, and we would be delighted to welcome you there. This year, the day’s events will focus on: “The conduct of outstanding Person-Centered Research to enhance the Health and Wellbeing of individuals and transform the Health Environment for the population”

On the day, you will have the opportunity to hear first-hand accounts covering the progress and activities of the HRI Clusters who were awarded funding in our most ambitious exercise to-date, in the quest to stimulate research capacity-building.

An exciting departure for us this year is the invitation to the various Research Institutes and Centres to present our respective overviews, the aim being to increase awareness of activity and the supports available for our researchers and also to stimulate the consideration of increased inter-disciplinary collaboration.

Due to popular demand, we will have a Poster Display Event and Competition in the Foundation Building Atrium from 09h30 to 14h00 - which will showcase the research work of Postgraduate and Postdoctoral students who are members of the HRI or whose Supervisors are HRI Members.

Also, we are delighted to welcome Dr Anne Costello, Project Officer, Health Research Board, who will give a talk covering the revised HRB health research careers framework and the achievements on the research careers to date - this will take place in FB-028 from 15h30 to 16h30.

Tuesday 3rd December, Foundation Building, 09:00 - 17:00
