The Department of Psychology lunchtime seminar series kicks off this Friday February 16th with a talk from our own Faculty member Prof Orla Muldoon.  The talk will take place in E1-22 from 1-2pm.

Prof Muldoon will give a talk entitled ‘Social Identity Change? Social Cure, Social Curse and Sabbatical’.  Her talk will outline work she undertook whilst on sabbatical in University of Queensland during AY 2016/2017.  In particular her talk orients to research she completed and new research plans she developed during this time which conceptualises the consequences of psychological trauma, whether post traumatic stress, post traumatic growth or resilience as resulting from social identity change.  She will use both empirical data and stories from her travels in Australia and Nepal.  This will include plenty of photos to illustrate her points and at time orients to the privilege, joy and the more testing times associated with moving across the world with school aged children in tow.

A light lunch will be available.  All are welcome.
