Project Title: Depression and psychophysiological reactions to stress: Examining motivation and early life stress as potential mediating and moderating variables.

Project Supervisors: Professor Stephen Gallagher & Dr Siobhán Howard

Project Description: The current research project investigates possible underlying mechanisms that link depression and blunted cardiovascular reactions to acute psychological stress. Specifically, I am interested in examining motivational style as a potential mediator and early childhood adversity as a potential moderator of this relationship. Broadly, my research interest lies in stress, mental health and wellbeing.
