Time of assuming the current leadership role

In January 2020, Harvey Duthie was appointed Vice President Development at the University of Limerick, Ireland. Harvey also serves as CEO of the University of Limerick Foundation.

Previous experience and education

Harvey brings almost twenty years of global fundraising experience to the role of Vice President Development. Before joining the team, Harvey worked on a range of major fundraising campaigns where his clients included:

Professional interests

Harvey has served in several voluntary roles including pro-bono fundraising counsel to ActionAid’s International Secretariat in London, as a mentor for the UK’s Institute of Fundraising, as a fundraising committee member of The Passage, a homeless Shelter in London,  a Founding Director of Fundraising Ireland, and, is invited to speak regularly on specialist topics including campaign management, major gifts and international fundraising.

Areas of responsibility

Building on the €200 million+ raised for UL since 1989, Harvey is responsible for generating new philanthropic income and works closely with the President, Executive Committee and Academics across the campus.
