Sarah Hunt

Sarah Hunt completed her BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford University in 1999. A Masters in Development Studies in University College Dublin allowed her to combine academic study with an interest in the Spanish language when she travelled to Argentina to carry out research in the University of Buenos Aires on the international political economy of the debt crisis. Sarah then spent a number of years working with the Irish NGO Trócaire in Central America coordinating the civil society advocacy programmes for Honduras and Nicaragua. More recently, Sarah spent a year in Tanzania working as an economist with the Ministry for Finance as part of the fellowship scheme run by the Overseas Development Institute (UK), before returning to Ireland in 2008 to begin her doctorate.
