Cian Finn

Cian completed a Bachelor of Arts at University College Dublin in 2007.
He then worked as a clerical officer in local government and later as a secondary school teacher after completing a Post Graduate Diploma in Education at University College Dublin in 2010.
He returned to university to complete a Master of Arts in European Politics and Governance at the University of Limerick in 2012. His MA dissertation analysed the level of public participation on formal governance mechanisms in local authorities in Ireland.
He started his PhD research in September 2013 under the supervision of Chris McInerney and Frank Häge. During the autumn semester 2013 Cian tutored on two modules PA 4012: Para-governmental Organisations/State Civil Society Relations and PA 4021: Ideas and Concepts in Public Administration.
His research Interests include: Citizen Participation, Democratic Theory, Civic Engagement, Public Administration, Governance, and Public Policy.
