John Kelly ( Centre for Project Management) and Paul Conheady (CS Solutions) recently made a presentation to the Thomond Region Engineers Ireland on the topic “Project Management for Engineers”
Engineers make a transition from technical specialist to project manager often without realising the full implications of how their role has changed. John presented some ideas about how engineers might be in a strong position to embrace this role and help organisations meet the challenges ahead. Paul related his experiences in designing and developing technology solutions to support managing projects and had some excellent examples of how sharepoint can be adapted for different circumstances.
