We would be delighted if you could join us for the launch of the Limerick Digital Cancer Research Centre, to learn about its development and our ambitions for the future. University of Limerick President, Professor Kerstin Mey and the CEO UL Hospitals Group, Ms Colette Cowan, will outline the importance of this Centre to the region. Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, Simon Harris TD and Professor Liam Gallagher (University College Dublin) will discuss the national perspective.
You will also hear from prominent cancer researchers and clinicians, including our guest speaker Professor Pat Moore (University of Pittsburgh), who co-discovered two cancer causing viruses. Our industry partners will also describe how collaborations between industry, academia and clinical medicine are helping to drive a better understanding of cancer, and in turn improve outcomes for cancer patients.
