One-to-one support from UL's Faculty Librarians

When: Monday, September 24, 2018 - 21:00

The University of Limerick’s academic structure means that each student belongs to several modules, one programme of study, a department and ultimately a faculty or the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance. Every student is supported by lecturing staff and support staff across the University, and that support is really exemplified in the Glucksman Library’s ‘Faculty Librarian’ model.

Each faculty, and therefore each student, has what we call a Faculty Librarian. These are qualified professionals with lots of experience in assisting students in finding and using information, formulating strong search strategies, recognising high quality information sources and preparing robust bibliographies that are crucial to your academic success. You can attend workshops with the faculty librarians or come in and have a one to one session with them; just make an appointment to meet Pattie, Micheál, Peter or Liz Dore.

If you are new to UL, a first year student or a new taught postgraduate, we have a librarian dedicated to assisting you in your first year. His name is Jesse Waters and he also runs introductory library workshops and can meet you for a consultation if you prefer a more in-depth discussion of your questions.
