The Library Makerspace forms part of The Library Digital Edge – a suite of technology-enhanced learning spaces that support UL@50’s vision of student-centred, flexible environments that enable creativity, collaboration and engaged learning.

Open to all UL students, faculty and staff, the Library Makerspace encourages all to create, innovate, and experiment with a range of emerging technologies including:

  • 3D Printers

  • 3D Scanner

  • Arduino

  • Cricut cutting machine & heat press

  • High spec PCs with innovative software to enable - 3D design, animation, coding, graphic design, video & photo editing, and much more.

The makerspace will also soon offer a wide variety of media and technology equipment that will be available to borrow & take home for FREE.

For those trying out new equipment, the library makerspace staff will offer induction and an exciting range of inclusive workshops throughout the semester - these aim to foster curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking skills among participants, and if it all goes wrong, just start over again.

The Makerspace is located in GL1-035 – first floor of the new library building and the service is currently free to use.  In order to gain the best experience of our makerspace, please explore our "Everything You Need to Know"
