The BSc in Aircraft Maintenance and Airworthiness Engineering programme was officially launched in September 2014. The Bachelor of Science, which is the only University degree in aircraft maintenance and airworthiness engineering in Ireland, is a four-year honours degree programme (NQF Level 8) offering a unique blend of academic and on-aircraft, industry-focused content, designed to equip students for senior positions in the aircraft industry.
This Bachelor of Science is a unique collaboration between industry and academia and has been developed in response to demand from the booming aircraft industry, and is jointly delivered by UL and Lufthansa Technik Shannon Ltd. It provides the opportunity for graduates to BOTH obtain a degree AND satisfy the knowledge requirements for the EASA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer license in Category C in just four years. The focussed nature of this programme will equip students for senior positions in the aircraft industry.
We are delighted to offer a number of attractive scholarships to high achieving Non-EU fee paying international student. The ‘UL Aircraft Maintenance & Airworthiness Engineering Scholarships’ will be awarded to high achieving students at the time of application. Scholarships will account for 25% of the annual tuition fees. UL is currently accepting applications for this unique programme and students are encouraged to apply early.
