Some Good News at UL

Fri, 12 Jun 2020

In this week's episode of Some Good News, we tell you about the Clare woman who has raised over twelve and a half thousand for the Irish Wheelchair Association. You'll hear about the busy beavers from 46th Ballybricken Scout Troop who walked over 250,000 steps for Pieta House and the members of the Irish Chamber Orchestra who are using their talents to lift spirits at local care centres.

We bring you up to date on the latest studies carried out in UL, including Dr Tadgh MacIntyre's #naturemoves initiative to improve mental health and how drones could help to sterilize public spaces post lockdown.

And finally, you'll get a little taste of Ceol na Mara Youth Orchestra's song "Then We'll Meet Again", with proceeds going to Childline.
