National Institute of Health Sciences

The primary goal of the National Institute of Health Sciences (NIHS) is to advance and support high quality health-related research and to promote evidence-based healthcare delivery. This is achieved through publication and dissemination of current abstracts of research via the NIHS Research Bulletin.

The NIHS Research Bulletin is an annual publication which provides a unique opportunity to contributors to have their research reviewed, to receive editorial feedback, and ultimately, to have their work published online and disseminated widely to colleagues in the Irish healthcare sector.

The main categories of interest are Clinical Research, Population Health and Health Systems Research. Calls for Abstracts are issued each year in early summer and are open to healthcare staff working in all areas across the Health Service Executive (HSE).
