UL MedX is an exercise-led community-based rehabilitation programme augmented by nutrition, medication adherence and wellbeing education for disease prevention and management. Located at the University of Limerick (UL), it is a partnership between UL and UL Hospitals Group (ULHG) including Limerick, Ennis and Nenagh hospitals. Its objectives are to achieve excellence in outreach, in teaching and in research.

By achieving all three objectives it contributes to UL’s Broadening Horizons strategic plan and its research implementation plan, Future Ready. It strives to provide individuals living with non-communicable diseases (NCDs) an opportunity to maintain their optimum level of health through its multidisciplinary research, teaching and exercise-based programme. This programme is lead by Prof. Catherine Woods.
