Deborah Tannehill is an Emeritus Senior Lecturer of Physical Education and Sport Sciences at the University of Limerick. Deborah serves as Chairperson of the Limerick City Community Development Project (LCCDP). The LCCDP is a non-profit community development organization that aims to support and provide access to training, information, education, and employment opportunities so as to improve the quality of life of individuals and communities experiencing disadvantage. As part of a consortium, with PAUL Partnership as lead agency, the LCCDP delivers the Social Inclusion Community Activation Programme (SICAP) funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development. The project is also funded, as part of the National Drugs Strategy, by the Department of Children and Youth Affairs to deliver drugs education and prevention programmes (DEPS) across targeted areas of Limerick City.
