Before you start your new role, there are some things you can do to make the transition a little easier. These five steps will make the earliest stages of your journey with UL smoother. Click on the links to find out more information.
Step 1 Complete work authorisation application (if required) and obtain entry visa (if required) - See Rules about Getting Here
Step 2 Sign and return contract of employment to HR. You will need to this to get your employee number and to ensure you are set up for payroll
Step 3 Apply for Garda Vetting if necessary. (If you will be working with children and vulnerable persons in the University, you must obtain Garda Vetting Clearance before you start your post. You can find more details here.)
Step 4 Submit P45, bank details, your PPS number and original certs to HR - Click here for more information.
Step 5 Check out the information on this site and take a virtual tour of the campus. Make sure to find out who you are meeting on your first day.
