THE ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY CONFERENCE
The conference which was held on the 8th March 2016 was titled ‘Embracing Gender Equality & Diversity’ was opened by the VPA&R, Professor Paul McCutcheon and was chaired by UTV Presenter, Alison Comyn. The 220 registered participants, male and female from across the institution, also included representatives from Dell, Intel & Vistakon. Speakers on the day included Margot Slattery, Country President, Sodexo Ireland, Professor Tara Moore, University of Ulster, Professor Tiziana Margaria, University of Limerick, Dr. Lisa O’ Donoghue, University of Limerick, Baz Ashmawy, TV and Radio Presenter and Dr Tomás Mac Conmara, Oral Historian and Heritage Consultant.
