Course Overview

The University of Limerick is committed to the Performance and Development Review System (PDRS) to ensure the alignment of team and individual objectives with the University's strategic priorities. The overall focus of the system is on improving performance and enhancing professional/career development.

This briefing session will help reviewers navigate and maximise the PDR conversation. We will look at the relevance of PDR and what to expect from it. How to plan for your team members PDR how to best set goals and document key deliverables for the year, as well as how to review and help your team members with their goal setting. It will help participants work with their team members on their learning and development plans and provide input on how the competencies can be used in both goal setting and in helping focus on development needs. It will help managers preparing for the formal constructive review meetings, the difficult conversations that can arise during these and in documenting the performance narratives (for themselves and their team members) as part of this process.
