Course Overview

What we look at in this workshop:

_ MIT Industry Performance Centre model for high-growth regions: the IPC models demonstrates how 3rd level institutions can achieve a high impact on local and regional industry.

_ Managing Expectations - successfully identifying stakeholders, their needs/interest/goals, and negotiating their continuous involvement in programmes is a key skill in building successful programmes.

_ Case study: we look at a successful semi-state’s approach to all aspects of their workload, from Continuous Improvement through larger projects and on to long-term research. This organisation has 2,000 people, across 5 companies, and is developing multi-horizon research programmes. We also look at how organisations, typically SMEs, can struggle with innovation (from NPD/NSD to CI) - and how this can impact their ability to work with 3rd level institutions.
