DATA PROTECTION TRAINING

“Data Protection Acts 1988 & 2003

Awareness and Compliance”

The collection and processing of personal data of students, employees and other individuals is required in order to fulfil the functions of the University. In this regard, all University employees must adhere to the provisions of the Data Protection Acts 1988 & 2003. These Acts govern the privacy of personal data and legally provide for the collection, processing and destruction of personal data in a responsible and secure way.

A practical Data Protection awareness course will be delivered in order to provide an understanding of Data Protection and the obligations and requirements the Acts place on each of us as employees.

This one-hour course is highly recommended for all employees of the University. There is no charge for attending.
