The Master of Education (Languages) programme is designed to provide graduates with a professional qualification in language teaching. Graduates will become post-primary teachers of two of the following languages: English as a second language, French, German, Irish, Japanese, Spanish. Applicants are required to hold a level 8 honours degree (2.2 or above) in a relevant discipline. Furthermore, all applicants must ensure that both languages chosen are recognised by the Teaching Council for the purpose of teaching in post-primary schools.

Graduates will be skilled in designing instructionally aligned, evidence-based physical education programs. The course culminates with a demonstration of the: 1) ability to conduct applied research resulting in a research paper, and 2) achievement of Teaching Council professional expectations for teachers documented in a professional portfolio.
The Professional Master of Education (Technological Education) is a two-year full-time initial teacher education programme designed to meet the needs of graduates who wish to become post-primary teachers of technology subjects including: Engineering, Technology, Construction Studies, and Design & Communication Graphics. The programme promotes an interactive and design driven approach to technology education. Applicants must possess a relevant primary degree at 2.2 honours level or higher (Level 8 - National Qualifications Authority of Ireland). Candidates will be expected to complete a skills test and successful completion of an interview will be a requirement.

The MSc in Speech and Language Therapy (Professional Qualification) is offered over two years full-time as a route to qualification for professional practice for applicants who have already attained a degree. The programme has approval from the Irish Association of Speech and Language Therapists.
