The Centre for Project Management is celebrating 30 years of providing project management professionals and their organisations with the expertise to understand how projects deliver sustainable success with global accreditation.

In that time, it has continually adapted and responded to the needs of project professionals. Specifically, by being early leaders in the area of 100% online course delivery and remains the only globally accredited project management online programme in Ireland.

It is 10 years since the CPM launched the highly innovative fully online MSc in Project & Programme Management, aimed at mid-career professionals. It has over 300 online learners located across 20 different countries, and

Course Director John F Kelly told us that “Online learning has had a major impact on our students, allowing them to bridge the gap between formal education and their work, by making both possible, and in turn providing for a more impactful course experience and outcome.

The programme is highly interactive and provides learners with opportunities to apply what they learn in real time, share their experiences with like-minded professionals, and together explore new ways of doing projects and enhancing practice in different contexts. “

A recent graduate, Rajesh Subraya Aiyandra, Senior Package Design Manager at Dialog Semiconductor said "The masters gave me the opportunity to collaborate with peers worldwide and get insights and perspectives into handling projects in different industries, on a global level."

This flexibility has had a dramatic effect on those who take on the programme, gaining new insights and exposure to projects that would not be possible in more traditional settings. By doing this programme, learners build the resilience needed as project professionals taking a lead role in helping businesses face the challenges and exploit new opportunities as they navigate their way into the post-pandemic world.

Martina Corbett, Project Manager for ON Seminconductor said “The course brought together all of my previous learnings and experience and gave me a Masters qualification with credible accreditation.”

Alan Cafferky, Global Programme Manager at Thermo King said "The practical knowledge and skills and cross-industry PM capabilities that I developed on the masters were key to my progression to a new Global Program Manager role."

The CPM has come a long way in 30 years, and in that time has built up a widespread international community of leading project professionals making a real global impact in delivering successful projects. We look forward to continuing to expand and serve this community, and being a central part of growing and developing the discipline of project management in the years ahead.

The MSc in Project and Programme Management is open for applications now.
