The International Education Division warmly welcomed 465 new International students from 44 countries to the University of Limerick for the spring semester. The students will study in UL under the Erasmus/Exchange, International Credit Mobility and Study Abroad programmes.

Our 7-day Orientation programme commenced on 20th January 2020, with a host of activities throughout the week, including airport collection, coffee mornings, Traditional Irish music night, campus tours, 1-hour workshops on “Adjusting to life in Ireland” and “Study Skills” and many more events.

At UL, an Irish welcome is extended to students from abroad, with a Welcome Address, followed by an Irish music and dance performance from Celtic Steps who come from Co. Kerry to give new students a real taste of Irish culture.

We ended the week with a Market trip in Limerick city on Saturday morning, which gives the students a chance to explore the city centre.
