International Men’s Day Event – Friday 18th November

We would like to invite you to celebrate International Men’s Day with Health Professional, Facilitator and Coach Jack Kavanagh in the Appellate Moot Courtroom, 3rd Floor, Glucksman  Library on Friday 18th November from 1-2pm.

The theme for 2022 is “Helping Men and Boys

Having suffered a catastrophic spinal-cord injury aged 20, which left him with just 15% muscle function, Jack Kavanagh cares deeply about health & wellbeing as drivers for resilience and performance. It is these topics that he focuses on in his engaging talks, along with the need to cultivate diverse and inclusive environments where people belong and are valued just as they are.

Jack is a popular speaker known for his humility, insight and wisdom.  He describes himself as an ‘optimistic realist’ – someone who recognises the realities of life’s challenges but who strives to confront and overcome his perceived limitations and, in doing so, inspire others to do the same.

This will be a hybrid event giving staff and students the opportunity to attend in person or online.

Catering and some light refreshments will served at the entrance to the Plaza Restaurant in the Glucksman Library from 12.30 -1pm.
