Department of Chemical and Environmental Science

The Department of Chemical and Environmental Sciences is part of the Faculty of Science & Engineering and offers both undergraduate degree programmes and taught postgraduate programmes.  Postgraduate research  is also an important part of the Departmental activities, with graduate students reading for Diploma, Masters and Doctoral degrees in a wide range of experimental disciplines. In addition the department is responsible for a range of service teaching in chemistry and biochemistry.Research, both applied and fundamental, is an integral part of the department's activities, and is funded from a range of industrial and public sources.
