During the year we continued to actively participate in conversations that will potentially shape the direction of TEL at UL. Fora for such discussions included the Transformative Learning Working Group, the Learning Technologists Forum, the Digital Campus Working Group, and more recently, the Effective Technology Support group. Discussions are informed through our representation on the National Forum’s advisory group for Teaching and Learning in a Digital World, whose remit includes creating a national vision for digital education in the Irish higher education sector.
CTL represented UL in the National Forum advisory group ‘Teaching and Learning in a Digital World‘ and participated on the design of the National Digital Experience Survey (INDEx Survey), the development of the National Forum strategy on open courses, and the Collaborative Knowledge Exchange for Learning Impact (Crannóg Project) project.
We participated in the development of the National Forum’s strategy on open courses and liaised with our co-authors in preparing an updated iteration of the Getting Started with Online Teaching open course.
