The Science Learning Centre (SLC) is part of the Centre for Transformative Learning (CTL) here at the University of Limerick.

Our postgraduate tutors provide support to UL students whose degree includes a science or engineering component. We also work with staff in science and engineering disciplines to develop transformative pedagogies for STEM disciplines in higher education.

Our tutors specialise in the fields of:

Support Services We Offer

The SLC provides free academic support through a variety of services, whether it be face-to-face support via our main service, the Drop-in Centre, online 1-1 appointments for those with hectic schedules or commitments outside of campus, to group support tutorials for particularly challenging modules. We also provide bespoke support to students who are registered with Disability Services and have completed a LENS assessment.

Click on each service below to find out more.

The Five Learning Centres @ CTL

The Five Learning Centres provide additional academic support to students at UL. Together, we also created the Digital Learner Support Hub (DLSH) which offers an online knowledge hub where you can access online resources independently from the five learning centres.
