Date: Friday, 23 March 2018
Time: 15:30 - 16:30

Dear colleagues,

As part of our engagement with the 2018 Limerick Lifelong Learning Festival, we would like to invite you to this discussion, facilitated by Dr. Lucy Smith, Deputy Head at the UL Counselling Service, and Dr. Angelica Risquez, Centre for Teaching and Learning.

Social media has become part of everyday life, and can be used to promote your personal and professional identity positively (see here for more on this). However, physical presence, context, and subtlety are largely lost in social media, because most human communication is non-verbal. Does this mean that ‘social’ media really leads to disconnect and dissatisfaction with life? What do you think?

Venue: Graduate Attributes Hub, Millstream Courtyard

Date: Friday 23rd, 3.30-4.30pm
