Family Law (Online) runs for one semester (September-December) and examines the core concepts of Irish family law. The module focuses on the key aspects of the law which relate to family life in Ireland, from the rules relating to the rights of children and parents to each other’s company and protection, as well as to the rules which regulate the recognition of adult intimate relationships 
In addition to affording students a broad understanding of the various sources of Family  law in Ireland, statistics and sociological research on family life in Ireland will be used each week to critique how Irish family law is responding to the realities Irish family life.
This course is aimed at those working in the area of family law or voluntary body or in an information or advocacy position. However, it will be suitable for anyone with an interest in Family law.
CPD Credit ‐ A solicitor practising on a full-time basis and undertaking this course, can claim a maximum of 10 hours eLearning.
