Finuas (Aviation Finance)

The focus of this nationwide network (Part of the Skillnets Network) is to grow the specialised skills base within the aviation (leasing and financing) sector and the financial services sector to support competitiveness and provide access to lifelong learning opportunities to employees in these sectors.  As part of a unique collaboration between the University of Limerick and the Aviation Finance Finuas Network we have launched Ireland’s first Level 9 postgraduate Diploma in Aviation Leasing and Finance


IMDA (Irish Medical Devices Association)

The Irish Medical Devices Association (IMDA) aims to promote and support an environment that encourages the sustainable development and profitable growth of multinational and indigenous medical device and diagnostic companies. Continuing & Professional Education(CPE) at the University of Limerick and The Irish Software Engineering Research Centre (LERO)  in collaboration with the Irish Medical Devices Association (IMDA) Skillnet have developed a  new programme to deliver a level 8 course in Medical Software Quality Assurance. This programme has been developed specifically to enable unemployed computer science, engineer/technician graduates or equivalent with a software background to convert to the medical technology sector.


LBS Partners

LBSPartners, formerly known as Lean Business Systems, provide hands-on, coached-based business improvement consultancy. Established in 2002, the company has extensive Lean and people development training, implementation and management expertise. In conjunction with UL, LBSPartners have delivered Lean Leadership programmes to Industry and delivered up-skilling for Lean implementation with client companies across a range of industries in Ireland.



UL, in conjunction with Intel Ireland, developed the BSc in Engineering Science programme. The aim is to provide the student with a comprehensive grounding in the foundations of science subjects relevant to an engineering role, from foundation level to a specialist understanding of science and technology and its use in producing effective work systems, improved data analysis, and knowledge management.  This course is designed for students who have a level 7 qualification and several years’ technical experience, and who want to up-skill to a Level 8 (honours degree) qualification.



Infineon in conjunction with UL has developed international Supply Chain Management programme with delivery across the globe. This unique programme uses the best of industry and academic knowledge to up-skill professionals in the major areas of supply chain management.  As part of this programme participants visit UL for their International on campus study week the students are engaged in a week of activities to complement their studies



Dell has collaborated with UL to develop a range of Supply Chain Management programmes at Diploma, Degree and Masters Level.
