This programme is a full-time, rotational training programme designed to up-skill and fast-track the development of qualified, recent graduates who have an entrepreneurial mind-set. You will receive a blend of education, technical and analytical skill building, exposure to SIG’s trading activities, and an insight into the financial industry. The objective of the Trading Operations Analyst Programme is to support your development as a thoughtful contributor and decision-maker within one of SIG’s Trading Operations teams, where you’ll immediately impact our business. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR We value graduates who are curious, enjoy solving problems, are good decision-makers, and have an interest in the financial markets. We look for students with an academic background in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, or Computer Science who are on track to achieve or have achieved a minimum grade of a 2.1. WHAT WE OFFER During the nine-month programme, you will complete rotations across SIG’s Trading Operations teams and gain exposure to the trading desks and various business areas at SIG. These rotations are designed to provide insight into how SIG is structured and you will have real responsibilities through both your daily activities and project work. In addition to rotations, you will attend classroom education focused on developing company-specific knowledge, as well as technical skills such as VBA, SQL, and Python. During the programme, you will build a network of colleagues, who will be valuable resources throughout your career at SIG. DURING THE GRAD PROGRAMME, YOU WILL COMPLETE ROTATIONS ACROSS A NUMBER OF DESKS. THROUGHOUT THIS TIME, YOU WILL WORK ON: ETF PRICING • Calculating and analysing pricing for Exchange Traded Funds • Identifying trading opportunities when mispricing occurs in the market CORPORATE ACTIONS • Forecasting and tracking the impact of corporate actions on trade positions • Seeking trading opportunities presented by such events RISK • Applying internal and external risk models to assess a wide range of trade-specific and firm-wide risks • Managing the allocation of capital and assets for maximum return TRADE SUPPORT • Working alongside traders day-to-day to manage trading risks, quote performance, and book management • Building an expertise in product and market structure to advise the desk when launching new strategies, trading new products, and entering new markets WE ALSO OFFER INTERNSHIPS OF BETWEEN 6-12 MONTHS TO STUDENTS WHO ARE EAGER TO GAIN EXPERIENCE IN THE FINANCIAL MARKETS.
