RADICAL project selected for Luxembourg National Research Fund grant

Dr Barry Sheehan and Dr Finbarr Murphy are happy to announce that the Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR) has selected for funding the Industrial Fellowships Programme grant submitted by Mr Leandro Masello for a PhD project in co-supervision between the Emerging Risk Group at Kemmy Business School and the industrial partner Motion-S. The purpose of these fellowships is to foster cooperation between Luxembourg based companies active in research and development and public research institutions in Luxembourg and abroad. The scheme awards PhD and Postdoc grants to researchers who carry out their PhD and/or postdoc training in collaboration with a company in Luxembourg.

The project, entitled RADICAL, will explore novel risk assessment methods and actuarial pricing models for connected and autonomous vehicles.
Dr Sheehan and Dr Murphy are members of the Emerging Risk Group at Kemmy Business School, University of Limerick and Lero, the Irish Software Research Centre.
