Dr Carlos Eduardo Siqueira, together with his host, Dr Khalifa Elmusharaf (GEMS) will discuss their important work on Education for Public Health Professionals
Dr Siqueira will also discuss his work which aims to explore the Brazilian Community in Ireland, and is seeking a diverse set of research collaborators on the following issues:

  • The demographic and geographic profile of the Brazilian population in Ireland; 
  • The history of the Brazilian immigration to Ireland; 
  • Social and cultural interactions between Brazilians and Irish (including English language acquisition); 
  • Second generation of Brazilian immigrants in Ireland (Gort); 
  • Occupational profile of Brazilians in Ireland; 
  • Brazilian businesses operating in Ireland, and their contribution to the Irish economy;
  • Health status and access to health care among Brazilians in Ireland; 
  • Media coverage of  Brazilian immigrants
