Abstract
In the post-Trump, post-Brexit era, how sustainable is Europe's current economic and financial configuration? Using flow of funds data for 28 European countries from 1960 to 2015, we build a series of ratios to map these potentially unsustainable processes. We construct an interactive tool for policymakers to understand the likely impact of any change on their own economies. We also shed light on the etymology of an old, but useful, idea: the stock-flow norm
