Biography
Born in Athens, Greece in 1976. Studied Tourism Business at Technological Institute (TEI) of Patras, Greece. 2001: received an MA in Marketing by the University of Nottingham, UK. 2009: received a PhD in Marketing (Thesis Title: Marketing and Consumption of Place: Local Narratives of Santorini) by the University of Limerick, Ireland. Her doctoral studies were funded by the Greek State Scholarships Foundation. Currently working as a Lecturer in Marketing in the University of Limerick, Ireland.
Research Interests
My research focuses on sustainability, consumption and place. I am particularly involved in two streams of research, sustainable consumption and place marketing, viewed from critical and cultural perspectives. I am a member of the Interpretivist Consumer Research Cluster in the Kemmy Business School.
Teaching Interests
My teaching interests range from the role of theory in marketing to marketing applications at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. I am interested in the interactions between marketing and society and the development of consumer identities. Specifically, I have been teaching modules on marketing theory; consumption and consumer culture; marketing research and strategic marketing for tourism.
