The emphasis is on a practical approach to business coupled with a theoretical understanding. Students attend lectures, laboratory sessions and tutorials. Case studies and project work on an individual and group basis form a significant part of the programme.  The diversity of student backgrounds, including students from around the world, greatly enriches the learning experience.

The International Business Study Trip comprises an important component of the programme. Students travel to an international destination for an intensive week learning first-hand about doing business in an international context. The week consists of lectures, company visits and a consulting project with a local firm.

The Research Paper allows students to specialise in an area they intend to target for employment.

Graduates of this programme have found employment in marketing, sales, purchasing, banking, recruiting, quality management, and consumer protection at firms such as Diageo, Amazon, Henkel, Lidl, and Bank of Ireland.
