The Changing Places facility was installed to provide support for the increasing number of students with complex needs studying at UL.
Located in Room No EG-010, just off Main Reception, the facility provides access to additional space and equipment to support personal hygiene needs in a safe and comfortable environment
It differs from conventional disabled toilets by including additional assistive technology including the following equipment:
- Height, adjustable, adult-sized changing bench
- Ceiling track hoist system
- Adequate space for a disabled person and up to two assistants
- Centrally located toilet with space both sides for assistants
- Privacy screen
Opening Hours:
Monday till Friday: 08h00 -22h00
Saturday/ Sunday: 08h00- 18h00
Public Holidays: 08h00- 18h00
How to Access the facility:
UL Staff/Students can register with Disability Services by emailing disabilityservices@ul.ie for swipe access through their UL ID Card.
Members of the public can call to Main Reception in the Main Building in order to be given access.
