ESRI Working Paper. The hidden cost of digital education: school device mandates
Dr. Ann Marcus-Quinn and Professor Selina McCoy published an ESRI Working Paper on the hidden costs of ICT for parents of post-primary school children. The study provides the first systematic review of Irish post-primary school policies, school websites, and procurement platforms, offering new insights into how these requirements are being implemented across the country.

The research received extensive media coverage, including the Irish Independent, the front page and an editorial in the Irish Examiner, and discussion across several Newstalk radio programmes. Dr. Ann Marcus-Quinn was interviewed on RTÉ Radio 1’s News at One on Monday, 6 July, to discuss the findings of the research.
