The Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Limerick has been conferred with a Bronze Athena SWAN award. The award recognizes the Faculty’s commitment to advancing gender equality, representation, progression and success for both staff and students. The award is valid until April 2024.
The Faculty is committed to implementing a four-year action plan to achieve the commitments made to the Athena SWAN Charter as part of the assessment process. This will serve to improve working practices and to ensure an inclusive culture for all staff and students. The submission Self-Assessment Team, led by Dr. Lydia Bracken, Assistant Dean for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in AHSS, included representatives from all departments and schools within the Faculty.
