Description
Universal Design for Learning (UDL) eliminates barriers in the design of the learning environment to make the curriculum accessible for all. It ensures high-quality education for all students and allows for full active participation by all learners. This practice improves student engagement and retention and positively enhances the learning experience for all. This workshop, delivered by Karen Buckley, Academic Developer, Dublin City University, will provide participants with an introduction to the principles of UDL and will provide practical guidance on how participants can integrate UDL principles into their own teaching and learning practice to promote and implement an inclusive teaching and learning environment that engages all learners.

The workshop forms part of the National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education's 2019/20 National Seminar Series.
