School Kit for Guidance Counsellor

The University of Limerick is pleased to announce a new school kit for Guidance Counsellors to assist them in their roles in secondary schools. There are two components to the kit as follows:

This publication contains useful information including:

  • Alert list for new programme developments for the new academic year
  • Details on Access, Disability and Mature Student initiatives
  • Scholarships and Awards
  • Articles from Faculties on Current Issues
  • Course Summary including entry requirements, course content, graduate employment statistics, timing of co-operative education placement, professional recognition and careers
  • Events and Information Evenings

The Student Information Sheets sheets include a listing of all UL courses and details of the entry requirements. This sheet can be used to assist Leaving Certificate and fifth year students in deciding which UL courses to apply to, and can also be used to help Transition Year students in choosing Leaving Certificate subjects.

19 Nov, 13:00: [Watch Back] Kemmy Business School webinar
This webinar talk will introduce Business Lecturer Kieran Gallery. Kieran will be discussing the Kemmy Business School’s programmes including the Bachelor of Business Studies, Bachelor of Arts in International Business and the Bachelor of Arts in Law and Accounting. He will also talk about the opportunities within these programmes to gain work experience and to study abroad.

26 Nov, 13:00: [Watch Back] Faculty of Education and Health Science (EHS) webinar
Lynn O’Doherty and Dr. Raymond Lynch of the Education and Health Science School will be guests on the University of Limerick webinar series discussing courses in secondary teaching, sports and exercise, paramedics, psychology, physiotherapy and nursing, as well as exploring the new Exercise and Health Fitness Management course.

01 Dec, 13:00: [Watch Back] Faculty of Science and Engineering webinar
Faculty members of Science and Engineering will be joining the webinar to chat about engineering, science, information communication technology and maths. They will also look at some of the specific requirements for entry to courses.

10 Dec, 13:00: [Watch Back] Coming to UL
Speakers from our Undergraduate Recruitment & Admissions team and the Fees Office will be joining the webinar to chat about some of the important aspects of applying to and coming to UL.
