The University of Limerick (UL) BS Paramedic Studies (Practitioner) course is open to experienced paramedics/advanced paramedics who can demonstrate current paramedic practice.

This course has a highly innovative curriculum which offers students the opportunity to complete an honours degree by predominately distance learning. Over the course of 2 years of study, students will be taught the basic medical and clinical sciences necessary to become rounded, knowledgeable healthcare professionals.
Candidates must:
- Currently be registered at the level of paramedic or higher with the Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council of Ireland for a minimum of 12 months and
- Hold a Diploma in Emergency Medical Science or Emergency Medical Technology equivalent to Level 7 (Irish Students) or have completed Health and Care Professions Council Paramedical training in the British Isles.
Applicants are required to submit:
- Evidence of their current registration with the Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council of Ireland (PHECC) or the equivalent from other EU countries, for a minimum of 12 months.
- Evidence of a Diploma in Emergency Medical Science or Emergency Medical Technology equivalent to Level 7.
- Copf of Passport.
