Proof of Registration & Official Letters

Download your transcripts and a letter confirming your registration status free of charge through the student portal.

We provide letters relating to:

  • Confirming the dates you attended the University (if you were previously a student)
  • Confirming award details i.e. graduation date, award received

To order a letter, please provide the following information through the appropriate channel:

  1. Student ID Number
  2. Date of birth
  3. Email address  

Your letter will be issued electronically on official headed paper, and a link will be sent to your email address so that you can access this secure document. Details on how these documents can be verified can be found here.


Confirming Registration with SUSI

As SUSI (Student Universal Support Ireland) connects directly with UL on a weekly basis, to confirm that grant applicants are registered UL students, you do not need to submit proof of your registration to SUSI yourself.

Note for siblings: If siblings applying for a SUSI grant require a letter to show they are both UL students, you can each generate a Confirmation of Registration letter through the Student Portal and submit them to SUSI together. This letter can be generated once you have completed Module Registration.

Stamping DEASP Forms

The Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection (DEASP) have advised us that the Confirmation of Registration letter, which you can download through the Student Portal, will suffice for their requirements. You can submit the Confirmation of Registration letter to the DEASP, and if they require any additional information, you can then contact us through Student Hub Online.
