Limerick History Research Seminar: Professor Margaret Kelleher

The next event in the Limerick History Research Seminar series takes place on Wednesday 6 November 2019 at 5.30 p.m. in room G08 (Mary Immaculate College). Professor Margaret Kelleher (UCD) will speak on ‘Reading between the lines: recovering the history of Myles Joyce and events at Maamtrasna, 1882’. Margaret Kelleher is Professor and Chair of Anglo-Irish Literature and Drama at University College Dublin. Her 2018 book The Maamtrasna murders: language, life and death in nineteenth-century Ireland (UCD Press) was awarded the Michael J. Durkan Prize for Books in Language and Culture by the American Conference for Irish Studies in Spring 2019.
